The Nursery is family owned and managed.

We have a dedicated and experienced team of highly trained, qualified and passionate early years professionals ensuring your child receives the very best start in life.

All our staff are checked for their suitability and trained in safeguarding, equality and diversity. All have paediatric first aid too. Every Child has a key person to help them settle and develop in the nursery.

Managing Director and Co-Owner

Melissa Heywood

I have over 20 years’ experience in childcare and education. I have an honours degree in Childhood Studies and I am an Early Years Teacher. My qualifications teamed with my managerial experience equip me with vast knowledge in all aspects of care, education and development of young children.

My belief is that to deliver high quality care and education that all children deserve, is down to meaningful play opportunities in a stimulating environment surrounded by staff who are attentive and care.

Liz Johnson

I have over 20 years experience in the sector and have worked at Holly House Nursery for over 15 years.
My main passion is watching the children being creative and thinking critically. I enjoy the benefits that children gain through lose parts lay and outdoor learning

Jess Bushell

Manager

I have over seven years’ experience in childcare and education. I am level 3 qualified and I have also completed a Team Leader Qualification. I mentor all new staff.
